We have four rinks which ensure all year round play in our Club. We offer in-house leagues (ladies’, men’s and mixed) as well as external competitions.

Regular ’friendship’ and other play available as well as the opportunity for groups to book the rinks for social and competitive play.

National qualified coaching available.

The Section is very well placed to introduce new players to the sport of Indoor Bowls. We have a dedicated band of enthusiastic coaches under the wing of Jan Millard. our Head Coach. Generally anyone who progresses through the introductory course and goes on to become a full member is encouraged to join the Friendship League, which is currently run by Ken Durant. The Friendship League can also provide a path, for people who would prefer a more keenly contested sport, through to the internal leagues, of which there are several varieties. In fact, the Friendship League can provide a happy hunting ground for captains in the internal leagues seeking new players.

The Club also takes part in Suffolk County Leagues. We put out a team in the Men's Suffolk West League and 2 teams in the Mixed Suffolk West League. This enables the better players to test their skills against opposition who they may not meet very often.

Also for better players there is also the opportunity to enter County and National competitions.

Internal Club Competitions are also held. which allows players of all abilities to interact with each other in well contested and sociable matches.
The Indoor Bowls Hall is very well maintained.

A comprehensive programme of Saturday afternoon friendly matches are arranged, which enables new players to familiarise themselves with the rigours and mysteries of playing matches against unfamiliar opposition.

All in all Risbygate Sports Club offers very good facilities, good social opportunities and is an excellent venue to practise and in general pursue the sport of Indoor Bowls.
